Karen began this truly inspiring horse rescue organization after being introduced to the world of the estrogen drug, Premarin, and was horrified to discover that it was made from horse urine and was even more horrified when she discovered how these horses were treated on the PMU farms.  Learn about how Premarin is made and where this estrogen-replacement drug comes from.

Rescued horses also arrive at Equine Voices after being used for hauling drugs across the Mexican/US border near where she lives. Horses left to die in the dessert have found their way to the safey and care of Equine Voices.
