now signed over to Happy Trails. We are actively seeking caring and compassionate permanent homes for this incredible herd of sadly neglected horses, and hope to place them one at a time with people who love them for who they are and for what they've been through.
Their recovery continues. Their rehab expenses continue to add up. Some are making progress in leaps and bounds. For others, the recovery process is much slower. Many of the horses will continue to recover over the next year. For some, we can see that they will able to be ridden at some point. For others, due to years of hoof negect and muscle atrophy from having been left to stand in their

stalls, they will not be able to work or be ridden. However, these beautiful creatures can still have a good quality of life as a Pasture Pal, a friend for another horse or as a family pet, as they continue on their road to recovery.
At this time, five of the 15 horses have been adopted into permanent, loving homes.
Many of these horses need a compassionate human friend who is willing to take the time needed to earn their trust and to help them recover from their past neglect.
Adoptive homes are very much needed so that we can in turn, again help future situations of horse abuse and neglect and get them moved into what hopefully will be their forever home. Please consider adopting a rescued horse from the Deerfield situation! For adoption information, call Happy Trails at 330-296-5914.
