52 Thoroughbreds Were Destined For Sugarcreek After Their Owner Passed Away
Feb 3, 2011, 09:05
We received no less than 150 emails and phone calls from folks who were concerned about the 52 Thoroughbred horses that were destined for the Sugarcreek Auction after their owner recently passed away. The outpouring of concern for these animals shows the amazing level of compassion that is out there. However, I'd like to remind everyone that between 250 and 300 other horses are run through the Sugarcreek Auction every weekend, and that there are plenty of horses already in rescue groups in need of your passion and help. On behalf of horse rescue organizations, I'd like to offer this commentary on the situation and ask you to share!

Like many other non-profit organizations, Happy Trails is being very careful with our financial resources. At this time as we trim our budget, we have decided to temporarily discontinue "Animal Talk", the Happy Trails radio program. The archives will still be available through our website, so please enjoy listening to our past segments from this last year! We truly appreciate all of our listeners and hope to possibly secure a show sponsor for future broadcasts.
